Contact went well, but I have serious doubts about the expertise of the real estate agent. Initially, the agent gave an indicative value of 485,000 euros and I found this value too low. We quickly had a buyer who wanted to pay 505,000 euros, and at that point I decided to withdraw from the sale (my wife did not want to sell). This caused a lot of hassle and I felt then that the agent was not representing my interests but those of the interested buyer. I never felt that the agent represented my interests. Subsequently, the property was sold five months later for 540,000 euros, which is significantly more than the initial 485,000 euros. I have the impression that Thuis in Vastgoed prefers to close a quick deal to secure their commission rather than provide good advice to their client.

I would like to respond via this channel, as unfortunately I cannot reach you by phone. At the time, I determined the asking price at €485,000 (WOZ €393,000) based on comparable transactions in the immediate vicinity. The apartment was then quickly sold for €505,000, but including the entire furnishings ad. €30,000. The purchase was subsequently cancelled by you, and I then had another ten viewings, during which the market had already become significantly more attractive. The apartment was finally sold 8 months later for €540,000 in a much more favorable market. Prices in Amsterdam have increased by approximately 10% over the past year, which nobody had anticipated, but of course it is fortunate for you! Our office does not aim for a quick commission, but rather for a long-term relationship with a client. I would like to have a telephone conversation to discuss everything in more detail, or naturally, with a cup of coffee at our office!"
