My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Lisette Van Tilburg as our real estate agent for our recent house purchase. We came to Lisette with a difficult situation: we needed a house urgently because our lease would expire in two months, after which we wouldn't have anywhere to go. Lisette was honest with us that it would be quite the challenge, especially given the crazy housing market in Amsterdam, but ultimately she more than delivered. Throughout the entire home-buying process, she skillfully guided us through viewings, assessing properties, and eventually making an offer and closing the deal. As first-time home buyers and also expats, we had many questions, and Lisette was always happy and willing to answer them. We especially appreciated her quick communication. We felt that she always had our best interests at heart and never pressured us into offers that didn't make sense for us. Ultimately, our first offer was accepted after a bit of back-and-forth with the seller, and we closed on the perfect starter home for us within just under 7 weeks from our first conversation with Lisette. This despite a hiccup with our mortgage provider, where she navigated through it as a true professional. For what it's worth: our house was also appraised higher than we paid for it, so the fact that we got immediate equity made us feel like we scored big. We are still in disbelief at how quickly she managed to realize this home purchase and are so grateful for her expertise that guided us through it. Highly recommend!
