There are already many real estate agents, that's true. Nevertheless, during my years as a real estate agent in Drenthe, I often noticed that people back out when buying older houses or farmhouses because they are not familiar with such properties. Unfortunately, most of my fellow real estate agents do not possess the specific knowledge to properly inform buyers about the sale of these types of homes. Most real estate agents are generalists, not specialists. I have a passion for farmhouses and a weakness for stained glass windows.

In my opinion, it is important that the sales presentation highlights for buyers the opportunities that a purchase offers, such as energy-saving measures, subsidies and financing options. Therefore, we pay a lot of attention to these aspects during the sales presentation. This takes time, but I am happy to invest in this!

In het buitengebied komen ook bijzondere situaties voor. Dit heb ik in mijn tijd bij Schelhaas Makelaardij vaak meegemaakt. Denk aan het wijzigen van de bestemming van een oude boerderij, het splitsen van kavels, het aanvragen van verduurzamingssubsidies, en het toepassen van de Ruimte voor Ruimte regeling. Deze ervaringen hebben geleid tot de oprichting van de Landelijk Wonen Makelaar Drenthe afdeling.
