Due to circumstances, I had to look for temporary accommodation (Short stay). Soon enough, I found myself at Lichtcity Housing and immediately got in touch with Khalid about an apartment on their site. Everything was quickly and correctly arranged, and that same day I ended up in a nice apartment. Very pleased with this service! Also during the check-out, everything was thoroughly checked and handled nicely and correctly. Thank you for the pleasant cooperation and good service!

Light city has been very efficient in setting up our new rental home in Eindhoven. The handover of the property was great... the house was fresh, clean and ready to move into straight away. All specific requests we had were quickly handled... also a big shout-out to the landlord.. seems like a great collaboration! A happy home awaits us .. thanks Lightcity 👌🙏

I rented a studio with great pleasure for 3.5 years at Lightcity Housing. The contact with Khalid was pleasant and I got my full deposit back neatly afterwards. Super nice experience, really a recommendation!

Very poor hospitality and insulting manager. They spammed me with eviction notices several times without reason and later called it a misunderstanding. The place is also not well maintained

Completely unprofessional and unethical agency in the Netherlands/Eindhoven region - My friend stays in Almere and visits here. It is ILLEGAL?! There is no temp-controller in the studio, this is outside of the usual setup, so everyone can change it; there are 4 tenants here. It's not my responsibility to check this all the time, and I spoke with the DNS installation team that maintains this boiler, water leaks continuously and we have to refill daily. I showed them, they clearly said the boiler needs changing but these can only be changed if the Owner pays for it. Furthermore, there are no separate meters for 4 tenants, so who uses more gas/water/electricity cannot be defined. Place 4 meters for 4 tenants to get clarity. Tenants pay via their own meter, problem solved. Additionally, my studio was used scarcely for 45 days in 2023 because I travel a lot for work. Despite that, an extra 1466 Euro is charged on top of the rent for gas/water/electricity? Cleaning years' worth of dirt and waste in common areas and back garden as shown in photos is my responsibility? Is this logical? - Be very careful if you are renting through this agency. Without any proof, an extra amount can be charged at any time and no one even has professional etiquette to have a decent conversation. - And cleanliness, OMG 😳 😳, come see where I stay, I am staying in a haunted house, full of dirt, broken plugs, cockroaches, insects, rats, spiders, great view of the back garden, photos attached. Moist walls, broken laminate floors are the cherry on top. Maybe you'll see snakes in my backyard. Completely unhygienic, see attached photos. - Lightcity Housing asks to create tickets for any issues, fine. You create a ticket, without mentioning an SLA (Service Level Agreement). Later suddenly closed with remarks 'handled by landlord' - while the landlord does nothing. So it's ping-pong between agency and landlord, and tenant is the BALL 🏀 here. - Increases rent of a house at any time, without proper clarification. - They don't talk logically, I've asked multiple times for a personal meeting - they just hang up, lack of professionalism and do not have basic courtesy to deal with tenants.

"Beste Atanu, Je woont in een studio die slechts voor één persoon beschikbaar is, zoals vermeld in het contract. U woont hier illegaal samen met uw partner, zonder dat u een opzegging heeft gedaan. U kreeg een rekening voor overmatig gasgebruik, die u moest delen met de andere huurders. De verhuurder zag dat de temperatuur in jouw studio op 23+ graden stond! Met de stijgende gasprijzen in 2023 resulteerde dit in een hogere gasrekening. Op het ticket vermeldde u dat de ketel kapot was. De verhuurder stuurde het gecontracteerde installatiebedrijf en zij constateerden dat de ketel perfect werkte. Het schoonmaken van de gang en de tuin is uw eigen verantwoordelijkheid als huurder! De vochtige plekken in je studio komen door de hoge hitte in de studio zonder dat je een raam openzet. Hierdoor wordt de studio vochtig en ontstaan er vlekken op de muur!"

Worst real estate agency ever! They are too expensive, take advantage of expats and act secretly. They do everything to not fully pay out your deposit. Stay away from them!!!

From someone who has had many problems with housing mediators in the Netherlands: Lightcity Housing is probably one of the best there are. I received my advance payment incredibly quickly after moving, it was fully refunded, they answer the phone and emails promptly, just generally good.
