In short: just don't do it! Explanation follows below. ________________________________________ From A to Z, this process has been extremely unprofessional. The real estate agent we hired for the sale, Skender, went on vacation immediately after agreeing to our offer without any notice. After that, we were left with his replacement, Remco, and that was an awful experience all around. In detail: 1. Remco never answered when you called or responded to messages -- even the notary mentioned during the sale that Remco is known for being unreachable. 2. Remco didn't introduce himself after taking over from Skender. He kept silent and offered no information about the viewings he planned. 3. Remco provided false information during viewings, which negatively impacted our home's selling price. 4. Remco was extremely rude all around. 5. Remco sold items with the house that were not for sale. 6. When confronted about this, he said: "I'm not going to negotiate over a few trinkets." Ultimately, due to his attitude and unwillingness to advocate for our interests, we couldn't keep our belongings. 7. Remco made agreements with the buyer regarding the terms of the sale that were never discussed with us. When the notary tried to call him about this, he --of course-- didn't answer either. And so on and so forth. When contacting Skender about the subpar service, he was very indignant at our dissatisfaction. He did not acknowledge our frustrations and we received no improvement or apologies. Overall, there was a huge lack of transparency, accessibility, and customer-oriented behavior. It is absolutely not recommended to work with either of these two men. They are both completely incompetent and unprofessional real estate agents.
