From the house, you can immediately walk or cycle onto the Es with the forest behind it. If you go the other way, you are straight away in the village.

For other facilities, such as a nearby AH supermarket, general practitioner and swimming pool, you can go to the neighboring Havelte (about 7 car minutes or 15 bike minutes). Within short distance are characteristic Drenth heathland villages and beautiful nature areas including the National Park Dwingelderveld and the National Park Drents-Friese Wold.

The Uffelterzand, west of Uffelte and south of Holtinge, is a smaller forest and heath area where several burial mounds can also be found in the surroundings. The Uffelter Binnenveld is a forest and heath area southwest of the village, owned by Het Drentse Landschap. Across the Drentsche Hoofdvaart, also within the municipality of Uffelte, lies the forest and meadow area of Landgoed Rheebruggen, also owned by Het Drentse Landschap.
Uffelte has excellent accessibility and a favorable location in relation to Havelte, Meppel, Steenwijk, and the A28 and A32.
There are also good bus connections to Assen and Meppel.
