Did you know that there isn't a single traffic light in all of Zeewolde? In Zeewolde, everything is generally reachable on foot or by bike. This applies to this spot along the Smaragd as well. Several primary schools, before- and after-school care, secondary school, but also the local supermarket and sports center are just a few minutes away by bike. The sports fields and sports hall, where a wide variety of sports are practiced, and a golf course are almost right around the corner. This is also true for nature. For more nature, all you have to do is cross the Spiekweg and you're in the Horsterwold; the largest contiguous deciduous forest in Western Europe, including the unique nature area known as the Stille Kern! Here you can ride your bike, skateboard, horseback ride, or walk for hours. Your dog can be on a leash with you, but there are also parts of the forest where they can run around freely and sniff to their heart's content.
